HOLES 1-9 (THE ENTIRE FRONT NINE OF THE GOLF COURSE) REMAINS CLOSED TO ANY AND ALL TRAFFIC  PENDING COMPLETION OF ONGOING CART PATH REPAIRS AND GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE BY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY.

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE FRONT NINE OF THE GOLF COURSE AT ANYTIME OR POINT UNTIL OFFICIAL NOTICE IS MADE THAT CART PATH REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE AND ACCESS TO THE COURSE HAS BEEN REINSTATED AT APPROVED PAVED PATHS.

THIS RESTRICTION INCLUDES "SHORT CUT" TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE PRO SHOP, F&B FACILITIES, COMMUNITY CENTER, BEACH, ETC. ON FRONT NINE CART PATHS

YELLOW TAPE HAS BEEN PLACED AND REMAINS IN PLACE AT ENTRIES TO THE COURSE AT THE FIRST TEE BOX, TO THE BACK SIDE OF HOLE #9 FROM THE PRACTICE AREA AND ALL COURSE ENTRIES AND EXITS WHERE CART PATHS END AND CROSS COMMUNITY ROADWAYS. THAT IS UNLESS SOME INCONSIDERATE PERSON HAS TAKEN DOWN, TORN DOWN, OR DRIVEN OVER THAT TAPE.

PLANS ARE TO REOPEN THE FRONT NINE CART PATHSLATER THIS WEEK (25-31 APRIL) FOR GOLF PLAY TRAFFIC ONLY AND RETAINING RESTRICTIONS TO OTHER BICYCLE, SKATE BOARD, OR  PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AT ANY TIME.

RESCHEDULED "DIVOT DAY" - MAY 2ND

 Divot Day  Call for Volunteers

DUE TO COMPLICATIONS FROM WEATHER, GREENS AERATION, AND CART PATH REPAIRS, ANNUAL "DIVOT DAY" HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, MAY 2ND AT 1PM.

SIGN UP SHEET WILL BE IN THE PRO SHOP SOON.  PLEASE STOP BY AND SIGN UP FOR A HOLE TEE BOXES OR FAIRWAY.  ON MAY 2ND, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN 5 GALLON BUCKETS OR OTHER LARGE CONTAINERS AND A SCOOP.  SAND AND A FEW BUCKETS & SCOOPS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN FRONT OF THE PRO SHOP.  PLEASE PLAN ON ARRIVING SO AS TO "LOAD UP" AND BE ON YOUR RESPECTIVE TEE BOX OR FAIRWAY AT 1 PM.

INITIAL NOTE REGARDING "DIVOT DAY"

Dear Fawn Lake Golfer

It looks like, contrary to our recent weather, spring is in the air. Dave and his staff are working hard to get ready for the upcoming season. It has been a very wet winter and we’ve had more “cart path only” days than we would have preferred. We have a trenching tool on order to address our drainage issues so that, in the future, we’ll be spending more time driving to our balls. 

One of the effects of having to walk to our ball is that we’re not able to lug our sand along with our clubs, towels, range finder, etc that we keep in our carts. This has caused big growth in unfilled divots in our fairways and on the tee boxes. Because of this, we have scheduled our annual Divot Day for Wednesday the 20th of April.

We will be looking for 32 volunteers (14 fairways and tees and 4 holes for tees only). Sign up at the Pro Shop starting on April 13th. We’ll provide the sand. If you have a bucket and scoop, please bring them. If not, we’ll supply as many buckets as we have. Meet at the Pro Shop at 10am to pick up your sand and then head out to our assigned holes.

Thanks for your help in keeping our course in as pristine shape as possible and making it one of the premier courses in the state.
